The overall aims of the Working Group:

1. To promote YHGSA, its activities and a global dimension to education through maintaining an up-to-date regional website, including the resources and southern artists’ databases.
2. To raise awareness of YHGSA through a termly newsletter, featuring the activities of the association – to be distributed to the target audience.
3. To attend planning meetings of this group and working group leaders to ensure that the group effectively supports and promotes all the activities carried out by the YHGSA within its overall aims and objectives.
4. To evaluate the website, resources and southern artists databases and newsletter to assess their effectiveness for the target audience in relation to YHGSA’s overall aims and objectives.
5. To develop a leaflet linking the key concepts to the contents of the Inspection boxes, in order to promote their use to the targeted audience.
6. To carry out an audit and review of current promotional materials and to develop and print a new general leaflet and a small further item, eg bookmark.
7. To manage (in conjunction with the YHGSA office) the annual AGM and a second conference per annum.
8. To develop a revised ‘image’ for the newsletter and promotional materials by commissioning a design company to make minor changes in order to refresh and update the YHGSA ‘brand’ for the next phase.
9. To coordinate the establishment of a comprehensive database of all YHGSA members, those who have attended CPD and other courses in the past phase, those working towards the Global Schools Award, those who have attended past conferences and those involved in North-South Linking. This is initially a retrospective activity which will be carried out within the YHGSA office and funded centrally from the YHGSA, but coordinated by this group. On-going updating to be carried out by YHGSA office.
