The new Ofsted framework and Linking – global schools partnerships.

Linking – global schools partnerships have the potential to:

  • enrich the curriculum

  • develop pupils social and cultural awareness

  • contribute to the pupils personal achievement

  • make connections to the wider community

  • Schools can:

  • demonstrate the impact of these links through their self-evaluation consultations, and in this way celebrate the global partnership within the new Ofsted framework

  • use their partnership to demonstrate their provision for aspects of Every Child Matters, particularly enjoying achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being

  • And celebrate the link by:

  • researching and evaluating the effect of global school partnerships, for example, surveys or discussions with pupils and their parents about the advantages of a global dimension in the curriculum

  • including the outcomes in the schools' self-evaluation form (SEF) to show the impact of these links and provide the evidence to support the assertions being made
