Global Youth Action
A Global Youth Action Project is an opportunity to try out global youth
work through a piece of project work that can last up to a year. Global
youth work can be carried out on a day-to-day basis with young people
by supporting them to look at the global aspect of anything that comes
up, but the GYAPs are an opportunity for the young people to explore
a global influence on their lives in some depth – really get to
understand it and in so doing, want to take control of that aspect of
their lives – make change. Read more…
Senegal Study Visit
Between 11th - 25th April, five teachers from the Yorks and Humber area
visit Senegal on a two week study tour of the region as part of MDG 15.
The visit will provide an insight into development issues within local
communities and the opportunity to gather materials for teaching a wide

Educating for a Global Future
Educating for a Global Future is a national initiative which supports the
progress of secondary schools towards delivering the global dimension in
the curriculum. The project, funded by the DFID, aims to work with three
hundred schools in seven government regions in England. Read
